The Philippines is marred by issues on extra-judicial killings (EJK) in its campaign on war against drugs. Since President Rodrigo Duterte assumed the presidency, mainstream media have been focused on this issue. Equally controversial is the involvement of former secretary of justice now senator Laila De Lima in the drug trade issue.
