Sometime on January of 2014, the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) then headed by Philippine National Police (PNP) deputy chief for operations Director Benjamin Magalong started to conduct an operational research and case build-up on groups of PNP Officers and NCOs who were involved in “Agaw Bato.”
